Privacy Policy

Sela ("we", "us", or "our") is a service operated by Draftboard Inc., a Delaware corporation. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Sela, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Your phone number — when you message Sela on WhatsApp, we receive your phone number so we can respond and so we can match your messages to your service requests.
- What you tell us — the contents of your messages to Sela (text, voice notes, images you send) describing the service you need.
- Conversations with providers — when Sela contacts service providers on your behalf, we keep records of those conversations so we can summarize them for you and improve our service over time.
- Service metadata — request type, location you provide, status of each request, timestamps. We do NOT collect or store your precise device location, contacts, photos, or any data outside the WhatsApp conversation.
How we use your information
- To run the service request you asked us to handle (find providers, get quotes, relay information).
- To communicate with you over WhatsApp about your request.
- To improve Sela — for example, to learn which providers respond reliably, to refine our process, and to fix problems.
- To comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests.
Who we share information with
- Service providers you ask us to contact. When you ask Sela to find a painter, Sela will share the relevant details of your request (description of the job, neighborhood, timeline) with providers we contact on your behalf. We do NOT share your phone number or precise address with providers until you decide to engage with one.
- Infrastructure providers. We use third-party services to operate Sela: Twilio (WhatsApp messaging delivery), Anthropic and OpenAI (AI processing of conversations and voice transcription), and standard cloud hosting providers. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy commitments.
- Legal compliance. If we receive a valid legal request, we may disclose information to comply with applicable law.
- We do not sell your information. Period.
How long we keep your information
We retain conversation history and request records for as long as you have an active relationship with Sela, plus a reasonable period afterward to support service operations and to improve our service. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@asksela.io.
Your choices
- Stop using Sela. Stop messaging us. We stop processing new requests.
- Delete your data. Email privacy@asksela.io with the request. We'll confirm and delete within 30 days, except where we're required to retain it by law.
- Access or correct your data. Email the same address. We'll respond within 30 days.
Children
Sela is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.
International users
Sela is operated from the United States, but we serve users in multiple regions. By using Sela, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our infrastructure providers operate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect when changes took effect. Material changes will be communicated through Sela directly when reasonably possible.
